Welding

Radley Engineering Ltd is one of Europe’s leading welding specialists. Our team of welders are fully trained and certified specialist welders in various materials including:

  • Stainless Steel (Austenitic)
  • Carbon Steel
  • Low Temperature Carbon Steel
  • Hastelloy Alloy (C22/C276)
  • Aluminium
  • Monel
  • Duplex
  • Super Duplex Austenitic
  • Titanium (Grade 2)
  • Incoloy
  • Cupro Nickel

Some of the more common welding process used in our workshop include:

  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
  • Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • Metal Cored Arc Welding (MCAW)
  • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
  • Plasma Arc Welding (PAW)
  • Stud Welding (SW)

All parts are inspected for problems, ensuring the client receive only the highest quality welds. This is achieved by following the welding engineering standards which typically include:-

  1. Illustrated profiles of each typical joint intended for use showing;
    1. The type of joint (e.g. butt, lap, tee, corner, edge)
    2. The type of weld
    3. The geometry of the preparation and fit up
    4. The standard welding symbol
    5. The range of thickness
  2. Minimum permissible sizes of fillet and partial penetration grove welds.
